Studied in the disciplines of classical cuisine, our founder conceptualized Cowboy Chowboy some 30 years ago with the idea of celebrating comfort food crafted from the rich products, flavors, and traditional cooking methods of the Desert Southwest. By incorporating these characteristics, he sought to bring warmth and local flavors to the home kitchen and make them available to anyone. As the concept further evolved, he blended these elements with a heartfelt appreciation of the Cowboy and Campfire culture from Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. At the heart of the original concept is a delicious cornbread loaf infused with the bold tastes of green chili, cheddar cheese, jalapeño, and honey, accompanied by our signature honey jalapeño butter. This unique combination quickly became a favorite, showcasing how cornbread can be a canvas for diverse flavors.
